Emotions can be difficult to describe, especially when we feel things intensely and don’t have words to express ourselves. When we can name emotions, we start to gain some control over them.

An emotions wheel helps us start learning and naming our basic emotions.

Using the wheel concept developed by Robert Plutchik, the Learning Emotions wheel lets us sort out our feelings into helpful categories. Besides the 8 basic emotions, there are additional 16 emotions for expanding our basic vocabulary for a total of 24 emotions. Other wheels in the series allow learners to go even further in putting their feelings into language.
